The 2nd June of 1991 is a memorable day for me when Dr.Hedgewar Library was established in my village with the help of some of my close friends, and elders. The story of the foundation ofDHL(Dr.hedgewarLibrary) begins some where in 1990,when I cleared my matriculation in First division. After passing the Secondary exam I wanted to read daily newspapers and magazines regularly.But due to poor economic background I was unable to purchase them.There was a Library named Chaturanan Memorial Library, Bhachchhi which drew my attention.I met the In-charge of the Library and he assured me to provide all the cooperation.I started to visit library every evening for study,but most of the time I found it closed.Several times I succeeded to get inside the library and I found that there were several good old books but due to lack of any time-table it was very difficult to study there. That very incident inspired me to find a common space where I along with myother friends can study.I started to consult some of my bosom friends and intellectual colleague for cooperation.Some of them came forward and provided some Journals, magazines and other materials.One of my elder villagers, a government employee Mr.Ramdeo Ray assure dus to provide daily newspaper regularly. They all were interested in establishing a Library somewhere in the village.Some of my friends like Mr.Lalit Kumar, Pradeep Kumar,Mahesh Narayan Singh, HiraLal, and many more opined the same and thus,the journey of DHL begins. It was the starting days of 1991 when the local readers, students and the members of our friend circle were gathered together on the occasion of an event when I took the chance of discussing the matter of mydream with some of the learned people of the neighboring area.I was quite successful to convey my thought to them which resultantly brought some fruitful cooperation from those learned people.They not only assured me to help in establishing the Library,but some monetary and logistic help were being provided instantly.It was more than enough for me to go ahead with my dream. Now there were only two hurdles in my mind. The first was to arrange the space for the Library and these cond was to name it.One of my respected guardians Late Bilat Ray happily offered one of his rooms free of cost to run the Library. The guardians,the learned people and all the friends of mine unanimously suggested the name of Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar,the founder of R.S.S. to be chosen for the name of our dream Library. Thus,our Library “Dr Hedgewar Library” came in to existence on 2nd June 1991.
